ANDY HAMILTON, MBE, D.Mus - VETERAN AND PATRIARCH
Since coming to the UK in 1949, tenor saxist ANDY HAMILTON has always led top class bands, and is still going strong at the ripe old age of 93!!
Andy Peate joined him in 1971, and such is the strength of their friendship and association, that he still does one-offs with his band, guesting on trumpet or piano.

BOBBY WOODS - A REMARKABLE VOICE - Click to view photos
Chicago born BOBBY WOODS is a widely travelled singer with a terrific blues and soul tinged voice. He has worked in the past with such as Third World and Osibisa in Africa, the Middle East and Europe, particularly at Air Force bases in Germany.

CELIA PORTER - A VERY SPECIAL VOICE - Click to view photos
Local girl CELIA PORTER is an outstanding reggae based singer, However, she is far more than just that. Her repertoire includes mainstream pop, soul, Motown, R. & B. and jazz. She has worked with such as Peter Spence and Bonito Star. There are many of her performances on YouTube. Check her out there as celia412.

DEE DALY - A VOICE OF TOP CLASS - Click to view photos
The outstanding vocaliste DEE DALY has worked extensively in the Midlands music scene for many years now, and is a model of highest quality consistency. She started with local bands, including a substantial spell with the now legendary Andy Hamilton and the Blue Notes. After this she went freelance, for many years featured with the John Speake trio at Birmingham's prestigious Metropole Hotel, and currently works with guitarist Roy Sainsbury and keyboardist Paul Buck.
While with Andy Hamilton, she met Andy Peate, who was also in Andy Hamilton's band at the time. They now do very occasional gigs as part of the Mike Burney trio.

ETHEL FITZJOHN - A CLASSY VOICE
Midlands born ETHEL FITZJOHN spent considerable time in London, where she was featured at many jazz clubs and festivals, most notably Ealing. She now currently does cruises, usually with keyboardist Mark Bettis.

GWEN KING - A DISTINCTIVE VOICE
Singer-songwriter GWEN KING has been featured with superstar Birmingham reggae band Steel Pulse. However, she is very versatile, and can sing jazz, blues, soul and Motown with equal authority and authenticity.

MIKE BURNEY - A VERY SPECIAL SOUND - Click to view photos
The exceptional sax, flute and clarinet sounds of MIKE BURNEY are very well respected on the local scene.
MIKE has spent time with figures as diverse as Billy Fury, Roy Wood's Wizzard and the Syd Lawrence orchestra. In addition Mike has played with just about everybody who is somebody in the local and national jazz scene. Mike is equally adept on tenor, alto and soprano saxes, to each of which he lends his unique sound. This is equally true of his clarinet and flute stylings.
Mike and Andy do occasional jazz gigs together, and Mike is an occasional featured guest with Silhouette.

SHAINE DORSEY - A VOICE OF CHARACTER - Click to view photos
SHAINE DORSEY is the daughter of the late Warren Dorsey, with whom Andy had worked from time to time. Warren was for many years a notable local singer. Carrying on the family's tradition, Shaine spent many years in Germany, where she worked with the Transatlantic Big Band and top radio orchestras on a regular basis.

VIC EVANS - AN INDIVIDUAL VOICE - Click to view photos
VIC EVANS is one of the most individual voices in the country, and is currently a member of the Andy Hamilton band, the Blue Notes. His distinctive accents give each song a totally personal character that make his voice instantly recognizable. Whether it's ballads, gentle swingers, or more up tempo jazz and blues, Vic is equally comfortable and authoritative on all of them.
He and Andy met when Andy joined Andy Hamilton in 1971, and again owing to their solid rapport and freindship they still do occasional jazz gigs, usually with Andy Hamilton.
