DEE DALY - A VOICE OF TOP CLASS - Click to view photos
Presenting the outstanding vocaliste DEE DALY. Dee has worked extensively in the Midlands music scene for many years now, and is a model of highest quality consistency. She started with local bands, including a substantial spell with the now legendary Andy Hamilton and the Blue Notes. After this she went freelance, for many years featured with the John Speake trio at Birmingham's prestigious Metropole Hotel, and currently with drummer Tim Ward. She has always been in demand, and has earned the respect of top flight jazz musicians, such as Digby Fairweather.
While with Andy Hamilton, she met Andy Peate, the other member of this duo, who was also in Andy's band at the time. Since then, they have often worked together over the years, with an extremely versatile repertoire, which consists of well-known jazz and pop standards, all sung and played with consummate skill, warmth and professionalism. Assisted by Andy Peate's top quality backing tracks, the duo is equally well suited for background or dancing. They have been doing a series of unusual, but highly successful sessions at a motorway service station(!)
Adding Mike Burney or Trevor Emeny on saxes adds a whole new dimension

MIKE BURNEY - A VERY SPECIAL SOUND - Click to view photos
Presenting the exceptional sax, flute and clarinet sounds of Mike Burney, along with the notable keyboard textures of Andy Peate, who has also crafted their totally professional-standard backing tracks.
A well-played saxophone is one of today's favourite sounds, and in the forefront stands Mike Burney, who has spent time with figures as diverse as Billy Fury, Roy Wood's Wizzard and the Syd Lawrence orchestra. In addition Mike has played with just about everybody who is somebody in the local and national jazz scene. Mike is equally adept on tenor, alto and soprano saxes, to each of which he lends his unique sound. This is equally true of his clarinet and flute stylings.
All of these sonic facets make for considerable variety, as does the the repertoire, which takes in jazz, swing and blues standards to more contemporary fusion. With the sympathetic, tasteful backing of Andy Peate's keyboards and backing tracks, you have an instrumental duo that is hard to beat for quality and versatility.

SHAINE DORSEY - A VOICE OF CHARACTER - Click to view photos
Presenting the outstanding voice of Shaine Dorsey, daughter of Warren Dorsey, for many years a notable local singer. Shaine spent many years in Germany, where she worked with the Transatlantic Big Band and top radio orchestras on a regular basis.
On her return home she met and teamed up with leading local musician Andy Peate. Andy had already worked with Warren and they struck up an instant rapport. With Andy's keyboard skills and excellent backing tracks, they form a formidable duo.
Recent events have taken an exciting turn with the addition of top local bassist Mike Green, ace drummer Miles Levin (son of Tony Levin, who had worked with Tubby Hayes and Ronnie Scott), and, most notably, pianist Johnny Patrick. Johnny was for many years musical director at ATV/Central TV, and he and Warren had already worked together. This line-up enables Andy to switch to trumpet and flugelhorn, which adds an exciting new dimension to the music.

VIC EVANS - AN INDIVIDUAL VOICE - Click to view photos
If you're looking for smooth, sophisticated, melodic jazz standards, ballads and blues as background during your function, then you've come to the right place! Vic Evans and Andy Peate are a formidable combination.
Vic Evans is one of the most individual voices in the country. His interpretations of popular jazz standards and ballads are second to none, and his distinctive accents give each song a totally personal character that make his voice instantly recognizable. Whether it's ballads in the style of Nat King Cole, Jack Jones or Chet Baker, gentle swingers in the style of Louis Armstrong or Frank Sinatra, or more up tempo jazz and blues in the style of Ray Charles, or Joe Williams of Count Basie's band, Vic is equally comfortable and authoritative on all of them.
His keyboardist, Andy Peate is a skilful and sympathetic accompanist, particularly on ballads, where his full-bodied piano and string orchestra timbres provide precisely the right lush sounds as a perfect foil to Vic's voice. His blues and boogie woogie stylings also offer the exactly appropriate backing for Vic. It should be added that this duo can easily be augmented to a trio, quartet or quintet for an even better sound.
